What happens when AI calls an election before voters do?
Our lab director, John Wihbey, was recently quoted in POLITICO’s Massachusetts Playbook, which reported instances of AI-generated summaries incorrectly predicting local election outcomes before votes were cast. Wihbey highlighted that such inaccuracies could confuse voters or discourage participation, particularly in areas with limited local news coverage.
